About Us

The Sishood was born from the friendship of two women who met in Malta. Crissha, 27, from Madagascar, and Melly, 25, from Guadeloupe, both found themselves in Malta searching for a sense of community, and quickly realized how difficult it was to make meaningful connections in a new country. While the island is full of social events, many are centered around partying and nightlife, which didn’t suit their desire to find deep, genuine connections with like-minded women.
Through their shared experience of moving abroad and navigating life in a new place, they decided to create The Sishood – a global community for women living in Malta. A space where women from all corners of the world could come together, support each other, and have fun in a safe, welcoming environment. Whether you’re new to Malta or have been living here for years, The Sishood is here to help you build lasting friendships and create memories.

Why We Created This Concept

Moving to a new country is an exciting yet challenging experience, and for many women, it can feel isolating. You may leave behind family, friends, and familiar routines, and finding a new support network can be difficult. That’s why we created The Sishood – to provide a unique platform for women to meet, connect, and support each other. We understand the struggle, and we are here to make the process of building connections easier, more enjoyable, and meaningful.
