Moving abroad is an adventure — but for many expat women in Malta, it can also feel isolating. Between the excitement of discovering the island and the challenges of settling in, building a network, finding authentic friends, or feeling at home can be difficult.
That’s exactly how The Sishood was born: out of a simple need to create a safe, inspiring and cocoon-like women community in Malta, where expat women and locals could connect, share experiences, and support each other.
We wanted to build more than a social club. We wanted to create a sisterhood — a circle of empowerment, trust and authentic connections.

Brunches with Purpose – More than just a meal, our brunches are safe spaces for meaningful conversations. With guided journaling and lifestyle discussions, you’ll set intentions, exchange perspectives, and create bonds that go beyond the table.
Creative & Empowering Nights – From painting and writing to group workshops, these evenings invite women to step out of their comfort zone and explore new forms of self-expression. No experience is needed — only the willingness to try, connect and feel inspired.
Seasonal & Themed Gatherings – We celebrate togetherness with events that bring joy: a Halloween cooking class in Malta with cocktails and cupcakes, a festive winter circle, or a summer rooftop night under the stars.
